Those of you who want to be
very exited should do River Oetz. But for the real
rafting freak there is a special river in spring time or
all summer after heavy rainfalls, the SANNA river.
Coming down from the most famous skiing resorts of St.
Anton and Ischgl, two rivers (Rosanna & Trisanna) are
linking together after the small village of Tobadil.
Action is required on this river from each crew member,
fast action, so the river can't harm our raft in flipping...
Oohps!
Who ever gets spilled out of the raft at River Oetz
trips, did see the wave causing it in advance. But at
River Sanna things are not quite this obvious. There is
rock formations just under the surface or smaller
diagonal waves, who can result in the same, you swimming
beside the raft. It needs some experience, especially at
lower levels, to find the right way through the boulders.
Those guides being capable of steering the raft without
any trapping or hitting the rocks are the really good
ones. How about us? |
