Bungy Jumping in Pitztal - 94 meters from the 'Pitzenklamm bridge'
.....the crazy jump....!

East of Australia, in the middle of the South Seas are situated a small group of islands " Vanatu ". The natives tells the legend of a woman, who flees and climbs a tree to escape her violent husband. The man follows and in the controversy both fall from the tree, but the woman survives. She was secured with a Liana.....

It is still practised today by the young natives who must prove their courage with a Bungy Jump at the annual celebration, a custom in the South Seas. The New Zealander, A.J.Hackett, re-discovered it and tested this `kick' for the first time in the 80's on the Kawarau Bridge close to Queenstown on New Zealand's south island. Today his idea is used all over the World.

Pitzenklamm....the name of the breath-taking, beautiful gorge in Arzl in the Pitztal Valley (which can be seen from the alpine Hotel Plattenrain. The beauty of the surrounding landscape is unfortunately lost when you stand alone on the 94m high platform. Fastened on and secured, time seems to stand still in the last few seconds before the jump. Then, it is so far. You tilt forward but still can't quite understand how you could let yourself in for such a crazy thing. As you launch from the platform you get a last instant view of the valley before falling the 94meters in the air, rebounding back towards the bridge you get the feeling of total weightlessness before falling back towards the ground. Back to reality and both feet safely on the ground...... it's time to consider if the addiction drives you to another jump....

Experience the 94m Bungy Jump from one of Europe's highest suspension footbridges, direct over the Pitzbach (stream).Water touch not available.... It's definitely worth a visit.
