Garni Gletschertor/Oetztal-Bahnhof 2008
This is our outdoor centre and central point for all activities during the rafting season. The entire basement area was developed in 1995 and converted into changing facilities with toilets, showers and storage for equipment.
Our base is situated directly between the Put-In Inn/Oetz and the take out in Haiming, approx.10-15 Minutes bus transfer. The house has 9 double rooms of three star category with on suite shower, toilet and balcony, which can be occupied also as single rooms or rooms for three-persons.
Our base is only a stone throw away from Oetztal train station (80 meters). Parking facilities for the house guests and the Rafting customers are available directly at the raft base. If the parking spaces are full we ask that you park a little further away in the bigger parking site Ambergstrasse to avoid congestion.
In the beer garden you can find the managed grill station and the "quiescent zone" an ideal relaxation area between tours. At the front of the Hotel is the Chinese restaurant "Hong Kong House" and across the car park is "Guenther's grill", renovated in summer 2001.
Opening times:- Monday-Friday until 22:00 h. We recommend either 'Mozzarella, Gorgonzola, Hawaii-Turkey or Farmer Burger'.

Directions to the Raft/Canyoning Base and meeting point:

From Fuessen/Reutte A7 or Garmisch/Griessen A95 over the 'Fernpass'

From Imst follow the postsigns towards Oetztal on B171 (do not use motorway Bregenz/Innsbruck-Toll!) After approx. 9 km, you hit the Oetztal roundabout, go straight on and stay on B171 then turn left after 900 meters towards Oetztal-Bahnhof. Follow the road (approx. 500) until Hotel Oetztalerhof and Hotel Gletschertor (located on the left-hand side).

Alternatively: Garmisch-Partenkirchen (A95) via Mittenwald, Zirler Berg then B171 via Telfs and Silz to Oetztal-Bahnhof)., or Motorway A8 - Rosenheim>Innsbruck >Bregenz, exit Oetztal.

From Arlberg: Motorway - Bregenz via Landeck exit Oetztal. After exiting the motorway, 1st roundabout to left, at the next roundabut to the right. Follow the postsigns to Ötztal-Bahnhof/Haiming B171, after 900 meters turn left (signposted) towards Oetztal-Bahnhof. Follow the road (approx. 500) until Hotel Gletschertor.
Please park at the front of the Hotel and walk through the car park towards the electrical shop, Matey. At the end of the Hotel, down the ramp and there we are!! Please do not park in front of the Spar super Market, it is private parking.
Please do not park in front of the Raft trailers in front of the Hotel.
