Then you are right with us ! For the coming season 15th of April to 15th of October 2010, we are seeking >>

  • Certified rafting & canyoning guides in Austria, full- & part time (mostly at weekends Friday - Saturday) in Augsburg/ Eiskanal & Tyrol. 
  • Certified canyoning guides, free lance.
  • Sports and travel industry students/apprentice, who are seeking practical experience 2-4 month. Becoming a raft guide takes you 1-2 full seasons of three months - May to July.

Payment will be received from Germany including all social insurances. Work permit for non EU citizens required. We will assist, ask for details.

  • You are an experienced kayaker class III or..
  • You are sports or travel industry student/apprentice and at least 18 years old. 
  • You hold a valid EU drivers license. You hold an EU nationality with valid passport. 
  • Your residence is in south of Germany or Tyrol, no more than 3-4 hours from Imst/Tyrol. 
  • If none, residency in Augsburg can be provided.
  • You are willing to work with us for more than one season as we will educate you.
  • Experience as wild water kayaker or canoe paddler class II-IV helps a lot, without it takes double to triple to certify as guide. Though we also educate non kayakers as well.
  • Some German language will help.

You are an already skilled & certified raft- or canyoning Guide anywhere on this planet? 

Then apply with us immediately. We will certify you as raft guide in Austria within 2-3 weeks if you can provide your rafting logs proofing 30 training or commercial runs.

Experienced guides seeking work, can be tested for their rafting skills in Austria from May 2010 on!

The following prerequisites are required to become a qualified canyoning guide in Tyrol.
  • You are an experienced climber and additional wild water kayak or canoeist, class III. 
  • You are a sports/travel student at least 21 years old. 
  • You hold a valid EU drivers license.
  • You have an EU nationality with valid passport. 
  • You are based within 3-4 hours drive to /ImstTyrol.
  • If none, residency in Augsburg can be provided.
  • The first training course will be held by the Tyrolean Canyoning Association April 2010 (10 days) at our raft base. After successful 1st test you get paid work as a trainee on regular trips. 
  • Course fee is around 1200.00 EURO to be met by the applicant in the first place. 
  • RTA will recompense costs after a certain period.
  • Final training course and test will take place in August 2010.

With the above qualifications you have the best chances to become qualified raft- and canyoning guide for your future.
 

During the training period (May/June/July) and after successful examination to become qualified guide we offer > 

  • Free food and accommodation in Tyrol during training times (mainly at weekends). 
  • Free accommodation in non working periods.
  • Free transport between Augsburg and Tyrol (if necessary).
  • Training under instruction through our competent senior guides. 
  • Personal equipment may be used from RTA.

Fees for the rafting examination charged from the Tyrolean Government are around EURO 125.00 and to be paid by you at the day of the test. Dates are usually once a week commencing from the end of May to July. All information in German & English under the following websites: Fees for canyoning courses have to be met by you in the first place, but will be covered by RTA if you are going to work with us at least 3 seasons (50%) or 5 seasons (100%).
