The following prerequisites are required to become a qualified raft guide with us in Tyrol. 
  • Experience as wild water kayaker or canoe paddler class II-IV helps a lot, without it takes double to triple to certify as guide.
  • You are at least 18 years old. 
  • You hold a valid EU drivers license.
  • You hold an EU nationality with valid passport. 
  • Your residence is in south of Germany or Tyrol, no more than four hours from Imst. 
  • You are an already certified raft- or canyoning Guide anywhere on this planet? 

Experienced guides seeking work, no limit on age,  can be tested for their rafting skills in Austria in May 2008. Further information on request. 

The following prerequisites are required to become a qualified canyoning guide in Tyrol.
  • You are an experienced climber and additional wild water kayak or canoeing paddlers class II-IV. 
  • You are at least 21 years old. 
  • You hold a valid EU drivers license.
  • You have an EU nationality with valid passport. 
  • Your residence is in south of Germany or Tyrol, no more  than four hours away from Imst. 
  • The first training course will be held by the Tyrolean Canyoning Association late April 2008 (10 days) at our raft base. After successful test you get paid work as a trainee on regular trips. 
  • Course fee is around 1000.00 EURO to be met by the applicant. Final training course and test will take place in August 2008.

With the above qualifications you have the best chances to become qualified raft- and canyoning guide for your future.

During the training period (May/June) and after successful examination to become qualified guide we offer > 

  • Free food and accommodation in Tyrol during training times (mainly at weekends). 
  • Free accommodation in non working periods.
  • Free transport between Augsburg and Tyrol (if necessary).
  • Training under instruction through our competent senior guides. 
  • Personal equipment may be used from RTA.

Fees for the rafting examination charged from the Tyrolean Government are around EURO 125.00 and to be paid by you at the day of the test. Dates are usually once a week commencing from the end of May. All information in German & English under these websites:
