	The Muttekopfhuette is situated 500 meters above the Untermarkter Alm, in the proximity of the Imster climbing area at a height of 2000 m. It is a DAV alpine association hut. Since the year 2000 it is run by the former hosts of the Galflun Alm, Andi and Birgit Riml. The hut has 60 beds and can be reached only by foot on three alternative routes. Season: May to the beginning of November.

Prices: Rafting package # 1 incl. 2 x half board, rafting river Inn and lunch at base: EUR 119.00. Half-board: EUR 35.00 with a minimum stay of two nights. Add 7.00 EUR for one night only. Directions to the Muttekopfhuette: The Muttekopfhuette is reached via the 'Fernpass' on either the A7 Fuessen/Reutte or the A95 Garmisch/Griesen and avoiding motorway fees (Vignette).... Alternatively Garmisch-Partenkirchen (A95) via Mittenwald, and Zirler Berg then B171 via Telfs and Silz to Imst, avoiding motorway fees 'Vingette' (20 minutes longer).... or Motorway A8 - Rosenheim>Innsbruck >Bregenz, exit Imst. From the opposite direction via Arlberg: Motorway -Bregenz via Landeck exit Imst. Direct on the Hantenjoch road (connecting road Imst / Lechtal) pass height of (1900m). A 2-hour hike up to the Scharnitzsattel and then down the other side to the hut (caution, steep trail in alpine environment!). Only possible when the snow has melted. .

With the chair lift from Hoch Imst to the Drischlhaus and then by to foot, approx. 20-25 minutes to the hut. The lift (opening times: daily in the summer season to 5pm) takes approx. 30 minutes. With the car or minibus take the Hantenjoch road in Imst/towards the parking at Obermarkter Alm & Latschenhuette and from there it is approx. 1 hour steep hike to the Muttekopfhut.

	A small lift is available for the luggage, but you should limit yourselves with baggage, as you must carry your things from the parking lot Obermarkter Alm up to the lift station. A rucksack is ideal. The hut is not simple to reach, but all those who were already there, wish to go again.
