In the small town of Victoria
Falls there is a constant Vibration - hardly perceptibly for
the human ear. Touch a window pane and you feel the thundering
of the mighty Zambezi River as it rolls over the mile wide lip
of the Victoria falls some three kilometres away. In these battered gorges with enough force to make the rocks shudder create some of the most spectacular white water rapids in the world. Starting immediately after the Victoria Falls, on the boarder to Zambia we raft down huge rapids, waves and stoppers in water temperatures of 25°C on the waters of the Zambezi. For those of you who were used to rafting in the 4 mm neoprene suit in the cold mountain rivers of the Alps, only having to wear T-shirt and shorts will be a completely new experience. The Zambezi River, which is almost 1/15 of the total area of Africa cannot be compared with any European river. One has to see it to believe it! In September
2001 the best rafting teams world wide meet once again for the CAMEL - WILD WATER
CHALLENGE on the Zambezi, including Team Germany, 6 guides from
RTA. |
