Toerggelen 2006

At the end of the Rafting season between the end of September and the 1st November- we organise 'Toerggelen' in co-operation with the Plattenrain Alm.

Toerggelen, which is a South Tyrol custom, an 8x course evening buffet with fresh harvest fruits and other specialities of the region. The Toerggelen at the Plattenrain includes traditional music and fresh wine, which runs through the whole evening.

During the whole evening (four hours) everything is served late into the night, this exquisite menu is celebrated and drunken. In addition the 'Federweiser or Suser' is available (speciality wines which haven't fermented). Naturally the bar offers other wines, beers and beverages in this evening (all beverages are not included in the price).

Autumn Menu Plattenrain 2005

  1. Gerstelkornsuppe (Barley soup)
  2. Gruibenschmalzbrote (not translatable, just try it!)
  3. The main course consists of fresh wild meat with blackpudding and liver sausages, Ham and roast pork, and in addition roast potatoes. Special dumplings, blue and pickled cabbage (sauerkraut) unique sauces and salad.
  4. Chestnuts

  1. Dessert is a selection of various fruits, nuts and cream cheese.
  2. Later in the evening the kitchen serves apple pie and quark-strudel and freshly baked 'plum bags' and onion cake.
  3. Plentifully garnished ham and cheese platte should fill the last gap in the stomach.
  4. Around midnight one should try the mandatory spicy Goulash soup.
