River Float from Voburg to Weltenburg monastery 2007

Rafting down the river Danube on original wooden rafts 'Floss' with live music!

Drifting down the Danube

Floss=Raft (engl.)

The actual meaning of the translated word in English. Join us on a nostalgic original raft tour down the Danube, the journey made by the ‘Siebenbuergener Swabia’ 200 years ago.

  • We begin with a welcoming glass of champagne to put us in the right mood for our journey.
  • We start our tour at the Danube bridge in Vohburg. Once afloat the music begins and the rhythm of the band brings you in high spirits. There remains nothing else but to tap the feet and celebrate. Dance the 'Danube Waltz' on the Danube!
  • On the raft awaits a white sausage breakfast (Bavarian speciality) and freshly tapped beer.

  • We drift slowly down the Danube!
  • During the next 5 hours journey you have a wonderful view over the pictorial landscape of Upper Bavaria.
  • Occasionally a short visit on shore to stretch the legs! Here you can visit a Roman castle or stop for coffee and cake.
